6 Reasons We're So Psyched for INBOUND 2018

Excited for INBOUND 2018 in Boston.

INBOUND, HubSpot’s annual conference and the epicenter of all things inbound marketing and sales, is approaching fast. This year’s conference is September 4-7 in Boston.

This will be our fifth year in attendance, and every indication is that that this will be the biggest, baddest INBOUND yet.

With over 21,000 expected attendees and more than 250 educational sessions, there’s something at INBOUND for every marketing and sales pro serious about stepping up their game.

Here are our top six reasons we’re super excited about heading to INBOUND 2018.

1. The Club INBOUND Energy

The atmosphere at INBOUND is electric, and understandably so. The four-day event brings together more than 21,000 smart, caffeinated people to share their love of marketing and sales greatness. With amazing educational tracks, great entertainment and a gorgeous Boston backdrop, it’s a surefire recipe for an inspiring week.

To keep your energy up, be sure to plan ahead. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Get plenty of rest, stay hydrated and plan ahead for meals. The days are very fun and very long.

2. The Fascinating Tech

From much-anticipated announcements about the HubSpot Connect ecosystem to sessions on emerging technologies like AI and blockchain, INBOUND 2018 promises to be brimming with mind-blowing technology.

Be sure to register for the keynote by HubSpot co-founders Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah, where they’re bound to unveil jaw-dropping new features in a clever way. And, check out the floor of Club INBOUND to test out the latest and greatest in the marketing and sales tech world.

3. Endless Networking Opportunities

INBOUND 2018 will be the networking event for anyone in the inbound marketing and HubSpot universe. HubSpot anticipates at least 21,000 attendees from over 100 countries this year.

From the floor of Club INBOUND to private brand events held offsite, networking opportunities will be everywhere. So polish up your LinkedIn profile, practice your elevator pitch and get ready to network like a rockstar.

4. Learning from Bonafide Experts

There are abundant opportunities for knowledge-dropping from world-class experts all throughout INBOUND 2018. The conference attracts big names in marketing and sales talent, like Scott Brinker and Larry Kim, as well as top brands, like Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, GE, Spotify and LinkedIn.

Be sure to register for sessions as early as you can. Demand is high and seats always fill up fast. Reserving a session will save you a spot so long as you show up at least ten minutes before the presentation starts. If you’re unable to get into a session you want, have a contingency plan, and be on the lookout for bonus or spillover sessions for some of the week's most popular presentations. 5. The City of Boston

Boston is one of the coolest cities in the US, and it's particularly nice in September. Boston's seaport, the neighborhood where the conference takes place, is very nice and has many restaurants and bars within walking distance. HubSpot’s Seaport Parties during the conference are a great opportunity to explore the neighborhood a bit.

If you can, arrive early and spend a few extra days in Boston. We recommend a stroll through Boston Common, the oldest city park in the US, and a stop for the best New England Clam Chowder in the world. If you can’t spend any extra time or find any time to break away to enjoy the city, you’ll at least get a chance to sample some of Boston’s finest food trucks during lunch on the Lawn on D.

6. The Celebrities and Entertainment

INBOUND tends to attract not only top marketing and tech talent, but also celebrity appearances. Some of the celebrities we’ve enjoyed seeing over the years include Michelle Obama, Aziz Ansari, Alec Baldwin, Amy Schumer, Anna Kendrick, Chelsea Clinton, John Cena, Billie Jean King and Michael Stranahan.

This year, we’re most excited for celebrity appearances from Shonda Rhimes, Deepak Chopra, and 2 Dope Queens.
